While you change your gear the Amethyst you picked up on the bottom of the Lake falls out of your bag. "Oh wow, where did you get that from?", Chiosa asks. "I found it in that cave when I fell into the lake. Thought it was nice", you reply.

Her expression tells you it's not! Panick and disbelief overcome her: "This can't be! So that means they broke it! You know, the Amethysts actually seal the Dark Lake area so that the creatures are trapped there. If they found a weak place to get to us it explains everything!"

"We need to upgrade your weapon for the fights. Let's go to the crafting machine. You can get ammunition, a new spell and finally install your light orb, in case you have one. All your light spells are for free then!", Chiosa says in a hurry.

The machine seems easy to use. You put your weapon into some kind of oven and choose options on the monitor to boost it. It says:

Please add one free Spell Orb to your weapon:

Hammer: 
Yellow: Split the ground with a ray of light shooting out of it
Orange: Send out a shockwave of light around you

Wand: 
Pink: Conjure Light Tendrils to root and burn your enemies
Purple: Conjure a Light Whip to fight with

Gun: 
Green: Shoot exploding Light Grenades that damage the enemies
Blue: Shoot Lasers to cut through your enemies
