You take one of the offered items and Laticia begins to explain: "When the Academy got overrun by these dark beings I hid here in this cave. Everyone had to flee and some even vanished! I thought I was save here but then I got attacked by the monster you just defeated. It came out of nowhere! They seem to be able to wander around without being seen."
